People who are cisgender feel that their gender identity matches their biological sex. This usually means that they feel the sexual anatomy they were born with is right for them, however some transsexuals consider themselves both transsexual and cisgender. Also used synonymously with Cissexual. Some medical professionals such as Dr. Charlie Glickman have advocated the use of this word "because it takes away the idea that being cisgender is 'normal.'"[1]
